popularity of the Ford Mustang. Being introduced just two year
after the Ford pony car, Chevy wanted to impress buyers with more
aggressive body lines, multiple trim options, along with both big &
small block engine options. It instantly made a dent in Ford sales
each and every year, and a new generation of the Ford/ Chevrolet
rivalry had begun! The final year of this first generation Camaro
came about in 1969 and continues to be the most desirable today!
Offered here is a sharply restored Los Angeles-built 1969 Chevrolet
Camaro Sport Coupe dressed with Super Sport trim options!
Refinished in Daytona Yellow with and Black vinyl bucket seat
interior, it comes well equipped with favored options! From under
the hood, power comes from a later generation 454ci V8, Muncie
4-speed manual transmission, and 12-bolt rear end! Options include
power front disc brakes, power steering, sport steering wheel, cowl
induction hood, chrome engine dress up kit, Deluxe console with
auxiliary gauges & dash tachometer, chrome 15 Keystone
2-piecewheels, front & rear spoilers, body sill molding, wheel lip
molding, roof rail drip molding, quarter trim moldings, & blacked
out tail panel, front & rear seatbelts, Delco AM pushbutton radio,
hockey style side stripes, Soft-Ray tinted glass, and carpeted
floor mats! Finished entirely in 2009 by Gary Ds Automotive in
Arlington, TX, a close look at this beautiful Camaro shows base
coat/clear coat paint, all new interior upholstery & padded carpet,
fresh weather stripping throughout, new fuel system, all new
braking system including parking park cables, original LOF side &
rear window glass, BF Goodrich T/A Radial tires, all new exhaust,
with special attention under the hood to showcase correct GM hoses,
firewall inspection markings, and so much more! It presents itself
as a beautiful L78 396/375 hp for period correctness, while
providing the next owner a truly drivable investment! It now has
ceramic-coated longtube headers, Flowmaster exhaust system with
chrome tips, and Quick Fuel Technologies 650cfm carburetor atop an
aluminum intake manifold for added power and outstanding sound!
Upon arrival & inspection here at the St. Louis Car Museum, we
replaced the water pump, heater blower motor & dash control cables,
installed new front ball joints, sway bar links & bushings, new
rear shocks, as well as fresh coolant, new engine oil/filter, and
new air filter. It is ready for the spring weather and summer car
