Vehicle Description
You stopped to look at this 1966 Shelby Cobra Replica because it
has the right color combo and it's offered for quite a nice price.
But as you dig deeper into this low mileage build, you're also
going to discover a ton of great details, including the rare
tri-power setup to this V8.
This Cobra gets the look right from the first impression. After
all, Wimbledon White with blue stripes is a true American racing
color theme - especially made famous by Shelby. This is a
professional build that was completed less than 900 miles ago.
That's why you can see all the great Cobra styling cues, including
the sporty flared fenders, hood scoop, and a front air intake
that's wide open so it looks like it wants to consume all lesser
cars in such a clean and fresh way. This was really built to be a
great original-style competition Cobra, and so you see that in the
details, like the push bumpers, racing roll hoop, side pipes, and
Halibrand-style knock-off wheels.
Inside the true vintage style continues. Classic racing bucket
seats, a Mustang shifter tilted forward, and a wood and chrome
steering wheel give you the true feeling of a vintage Cobra. The
dash is even full of Smiths gauges with the speedometer correctly
reversed. But if you look closely, there are also some tastefully,
integrated, modern, touches. This includes the readouts have a
digital odometer (telling you it's a more modern set,) and a
Flaming River tilt steering column.
Under the hood is a clean 302 cubic-inch V8 that looks great, right
down to the Cobra valve covers. But it's what's on top that should
really have you intrigued. This is a triple set of dual-barrel
Holley carburetors. More than just a cool tri-power setup, it's
mounted on a Buddy Bar intake. Ford fans know this is a short run
of stout parts that are worth $$$$ on its own. Plus, this V8 has
been fortified and enhanced. It's a roller motor with flat top
pistons, mild cam w/windage tray, Cobra oil pan, and a Griffin
radiator to keep it running cool. It's a terrific performance
package, and the growl of the side pipes really let everyone know
it. Best of all, you are in full control of it all with the
five-speed manual transmission. As you look at the undercarriage
photos, its freshness reminds you of how few miles are on this
build. Plus, you'll spot some great features, like the Heidts front
end, four-link rear, rack & pinion steering, QA1 adjustable
coilovers, and four-wheel disc brakes.
Complete with build receipts, and photos, this is an all-around
awesome Cobra package that will keep people talking. So at a price
like this, you know it's not going to stick around long. Call
