1972 Mercedes Benz 350SL Roadster
Runs great, looks better. 2 Tops, hard and rag. New Leather Interior, new carpet, new exhaust, new shocks, new front brakes, new steering, new fuel system, new hoses, just tuned and aligned. Full syn oil change on 10/18 1k miles ago. Also, custom stereo speaker install in both doors and behind seats. Great sound. Turned 70k miles on 6/14/19.
I purchased this car last year. Decided to add all the pieces that it needed to bring it up to par.The engine is a 4.5 liter. This is the first year Mercedes placed a 4.5 liter in the 107 body. The 350SL moniker was only used in 1972. In 1973 it then became the 450SL. The car runs great. I had a local Naples mechanic, who works on all my cars, do the extended work except for the exhaust, which I took to a top end shop. I just bought another car and my storage space is limited so this one, unfortunately, has to be sold. Included in any sale are the top end dust cover and the rack for the hard top.
The car was built in early 1972. 2670 out of approx 4500 made that year. The 280SL, predecessor of the 350SL, has had huge price appreciation over the past few years.
