Vehicle Description
Award winning 1971 Corvette.
We are proud to offer this very special Corvette from a multi award
winning private collection.
While C3 Corvettes from 1968 to 1982 are not rare, the chrome
bumper models are becoming very collectable. We consider 1971 being
one of the most desirable as it is the last year with high
horsepower motors. With 8.5 to 1 compression over the previous
years 10.25 to 1, this is the first Corvette designed to run on
unleaded fuel making it a show quality driver.
This stunning example was not only invited to the prestigious
Misselwood Concours d'Elegance but it won top honors winning the
Dr. Richard E. Wylie Memorial Trophy and was also a feature display
car at the Boston Cup.
In many ways better than when new, this car over has had over
$18,000.00 in mechanical upgrades in including Koni shocks,
fiberglass rear spring, front and rear sway bars, and all new body
mounts and bushings.
This Corvette also was stripped to bare fiberglass showing an
original body with no accidents then it received a concours winning
refinish, body alignment, door, hood, and headlight refit.
The interior was also improved with the replacement of most panels
and the addition of leather seats.
Along with the very rare PO2 original Corvette wheel covers, this
car also comes with a set of the much more common Rallye Wheel caps
and trim rings.
With automatic transmission, power steering and power disc brakes,
and factory air-conditioning, you can safely drive it daily in
comfort or save it for shows.
