Vehicle Description
Sleek looks, air ride suspension, custom interior, four-wheel disc
brakes, and a performance LS V8 under the hood - this 1966
Chevrolet Impala is a stunner from every angle.
A long black coupe with the ability to be lowered right down to the
ground. Oh yeah, this one knows how to make an impression. You can
tell they made a solid investment in a custom machine just by the
shine of this one. The upgraded black paint has a terrific luster
that really shows off those sporty Coke-bottle curves. And there's
plenty of brightwork to complement the black, including the wide
grille, pointed front bumper, and nicely integrated rear bumper.
And there are even delicate trim lines everywhere, including
highlighting the raised point on the hood. But the shine you're
going to like the most are the 18-inch Cragar wheels. The classic
style but modern size is the perfect way to announce how this is a
cool mix of vintage and new.
This vintage/new blended world continues inside. The red interior
has a great classic look with two rows of wide benches and plenty
of room for family and friends in this full-size hardtop. But as
you see the freshness on the classic-style carpeting, door panels,
and headliner, you realize there were nice investments made to keep
this classic. And as you slip behind the factory wheel you really
start to see some well-integrated upgrades. The gauges are now
crisp Dakota Digital units, and the retro-style radio is a modern
digital tuner with Bluetooth. Plus, there's a remote to give you
full control over the air ride system.
As much as you'll love showing off the interior and exterior, it's
the motor that will really draw all the crowds. Under the hood is
modern 5.7-liter fuel-injected LS1 V8. It looks absolutely devilish
with the full black presentation that's only broken up by the
occasional red or polished component. And this modern LS powerhouse
earns its aggressive presentation, because it has been upgraded
with performance goodies, like a mild cam, Airaid cold air intake,
BBK 80mm throttle body, and Holley EFI fuel rails. From the moment
you fire it up, the growl of the header-fed dual exhaust lets
everyone know this is a fantastic beast. But as you look over the
motor, you'll also spot the right supporting components, like the
Optima red top battery and aluminum radiator w/electric fan. And
don't forget to check out the undercarriage where it has been
powder coated for both protection and a terrific look. This is a
fantastic driver with upgrades like the 4L60E four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive, power steering, and vented four-wheel
disc brakes. And don't forget that no matter where you drive this
near or far, once you arrive, you get to drop it low to the ground
thanks to the air ride suspension.
They seemed to have thought of everything with this custom Impala.
