Appraiser Comments: Overall, I feel this is a beautiful example of the " Classic 55 chevy". This car has been totally restored and the underside was very clean and solid. The gypsy red paint is in excellent condition. The smooth chrome bumpers and brightwork are in excellent condition as well as the glass. The engine bay was nicely detailed and show quality. This car has " Jim Myer Front suspension with power rack and pinion steering, Tubular A-arms and Sway bar, Wilwood 4 wheel slotted; Drilled power disked brakes. The car rides on Nitto 16 inch radial tires and American Racing mag wheels. This Car has a Richmond 6 speed manual transmission and a FORD 9 inch rear end with air shocks, rear sway bar, and 18-gallon stainless steel gas tank.
Inside there is aircraft leather in fine condition. The gauges are from Classic Instruments as well as the clock. Tilt steering column and a custom 15-inch original look steering wheel and billit door handles, 10 disc stereo system and vintage heat and air conditioning, This car has numerous "best of show" awards, First place awards, Top 10 Awards, Top 15 awards, Top 20 awards, and this car has received Honors in all shows entered in. This car is a beautifully restored with no expense on the build and it shows.
This a rotisserie build and has been taken apart bolt by bolt and rebuilt. With a 99 out of 100 given to this car by The Good Guys car club, there is no doubt that this car is special and worth every Penny. This build took place between July 2002 and February 2007. Hot Rod Express was the go-to guys for the engine bay and interior and Mark Webster did some very amazing body and paintwork. This 1955 Chevrolet was last shown in Iowa at a Good Guys car club show. This Chevrolet comes with over $80,000 in receipts and awards.
