Ford T Bird received a complete mechanical restoration by a
Southern California Thunderbird Speciality shop in 2009. At that
time the the cylinder heads, carb and radiator were updated to the
1957 parts. The ignition system was updated and front disc brakes
were added. Cosmetically the front bumper guards were removed, a
1955 rear bumper was installed and the continental tire kit was
removed. The result, as you can see, is a less ornate, more stream
lined appearance. All of the systems are in good working order and
the car drives very well. It is equipped with an automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, working
heater and radio. A smaller diameter steering wheel has been
installed that looks like the original but is smaller. This is a
hard top only car. The chassis is rust free, the original looking
wire wheels are reproductions that have radial tires mounted on
