Vehicle Description
This is a mostly-original, Time-Capsule 1974 911 coupe in very rare
and desirable Salmon Metallic with 44k ORIGINAL miles! The car is
matching numbers. All original; down to the original Blaupunkt
radio & Hirschmann antenna. The entire interior is original with
exception of the front seat covers being recently professionally
recovered (by Porsche interior expert). All the carpet is 100%
original (74-75 year-only carpet that was made from special
polyester nylon that is irreplaceable today as no one makes it
anymore). The headliner is original with some stains near the
edges. The dash is excellent with only one crack in the usual
place. All the glass is original including front windshield (Sigla,
West Germany). Even the door rubbers/seals are the original solid,
non-tube seals. Original paint in all door jambs, engine,
compartment, front trunk. The 2-stage clearcoat paint sticker, VIN
sticker, paint tag are all present. It had one quality repaint many
years ago. As Porsche experts will affirm, the 2-stage metallic
paint cars from the 60s and 70s paint didn't last longer than a few
years due to the very poor clearcoat from the factory. Luckily this
paint job was done to a high quality back in the day and only on
the skin of the car (not in any jambs, or any overspray, etc.). All
gaps are factory perfect. Door shut like a vault. Original orange
bar hood badge in excellent original shape. The car comes with the
original owners manual but no maintenance booklet. Optional fog
lights and Fuchs. ZERO rust. Never any accidents. Mechanically the
car runs and drives fabulous. Engine pulls very strong, no smoke on
acceleration, shifts like butter. Brakes perfect and straight. The
car had a recent service including oil &filter change, belt,
plug wires, etc. Early G-model 2.7 cars (74-75) with this low of
mileage and in such original state are more and more rare these
days. So many have been molested or turned into track cars. These
early 74's did not have emission controls or thermal reactors that
the later notorious 2.7 cars had. Therefore, these were excellent
engines. More and more discerning collectors are realizing these
Narrow-body 74'-75' midyears with chrome package in desirable
colors, low mileage, and A+ condition are as desirable as the
earlier brethren (longhoods). Yes, they have to check all the boxes
to be up on the list, but if it does, the car sets an excellent
investment for the avid collector. If this car were made only a
year earlier with the same condition, options, etc- it would be
valued 2-3x as much. Hence why excellent original midyears are a
solid investment for upside value and enjoyment as the earlier
siblings. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
