Vehicle Description
You can instantly see that this 1968 MG MGB is something special.
It has an awesome fully coordinated color combo, plenty of big
restoration investments, and there's even a matching trailer. Best
of all, the whole package is available right now for quite an
obtainable price.
This is exactly how you want your classic European sports car to
look. It was restored with a glossy black paint that really
highlights the timeless design of the MGB. Plus, the dual red
racing stripes are a nice contrast. They coordinate with the red
Lucas racing light covers and red convertible top to deliver a
package that people will be talking about. And because this is an
earlier MGB, it's a chrome grille and chrome bumpers car. Not only
did they make sure these pieces were shining brightly, but also the
details like the full-length trim, luggage rack, and Dunlop wire
wheels with genuine knock-off center hubs. You'll love the detail
work on this car in everything from the Sebring-style covers over
the genuine Lucas headlights, to the way the doors close with
authority. There's even a lightweight Allstate trailer that has
been custom restored and painted to go perfectly with this MG
(you'll want to call for all the details on the trailer alone!)
It's your first sign that this classic was restored to be enjoyed
on even the long trips, and you'll see plenty more indicators
inside.
The interior continues the same color theme as the exterior. After
all, a good MG should be open to the world, and so you want it to
be coordinated inside and out. The red is the primary color, with
the black providing nice detail piping on the seats, center
console, and door panels. And we especially love the look of the
red and black coco floor mats. Updated high-back leather bucket
seats with headrests makes this long-haul comfortable. Plus,
upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB input and added cruise
control really makes this ready to be enjoyed near or far. But
while they upgraded for comfort, this also never loses that pure
driving spirit that we all love in an MG. The gearstick falls where
you naturally want your right hand to be, and the classic thin
sports steering wheel gives an easy view to vintage Smiths readouts
just beyond it.
With so much invested in the interior and exterior, they also made
sure the engine was done right. The sturdy 1800cc unit has as BMC
Stage 2 tuning that adds power and fortification. And the motor has
been blueprinted and balanced. Plus, it has twin SU carbs, finned
alloy valve covers, high torque starter, oil cooler, electronic
ignition, and a Moss alternator kit. The four-speed manual
transmission was overhauled, and because this this was also built
for highway use, there's overdrive on 3rd and 4th. And as you look
at the undercarriage photos, you'll spot everything from newer
bushings to an upgraded Monza exhaust that gives the motor a
terrific soundtrack. Plus, with front disc brakes, Dunlop touring
tires, and sway bars front & rear, this has that ideal European
sports car feeling on the road.
There has been so much invested in this custom and cool MGB that
you need to call for all the details. Of course, you already know
this is a unique classic for quite a nice price. Call today!!!
