impression tells you this is a first rate restoration. Only just
over 5,000 miles since built. Drives as great as it looks.
EXTERIOR: The copper mist paint is what sold me on this truck. The
color is so classy and the finish is so polished it could make any
car look good. Body and bed are all metal, has glass fenders. There
isn't a ripple anywhere, laser straight throughout. Doors fit
perfectly, click shut with no effort. The bed is just as nice. The
floor is redone oak with stainless strips and hardware. Gas filler
is relocated to the bed floor. Tailgate has Ford script and it does
open, all chrome hardware. All new glass, the door and rear window
are smoked. Sharp staggered size set of chrome wheels, 17s in front
18s in back with performance tires.
INTERIOR: Professionally done from floor to ceiling. The dash,
seats, door panels, headliner are all upholstered to match with
stitched flames. Very comfortable set of reclining bucket seats,
each have seat belts. Gorgeous chrome tilt column and all chrome,
flamed steering wheel. Very clean looking dash, has a nice set of
classic gauges, neat set of a/c controls and vents. Billet cranks,
handles and mirror. Locar shifter, Ron Francis wiring, custom
pedals. A very cool feature- looks like roll up windows but they
are power. The window cranks have a micro switch that control the
power windows.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The Vortec 350 motor is fully decked out with
polished aluminum. The aluminum valve covers, air cleaner and plug
wire holders all have inscribed flame pattern which coordinates
with the upholstery. The Edelbrock intake andis carb is chromed.
Has braided stainless fuel lines and an electric choke. It also has
HEI ignition, shorty headers, chrome water pump and alternator. Has
Vintage heat and air, billet bracket polished compressor. Heater
hoses are braided stainless, upper radiator is stainless. Runs cool
with aluminum radiator, plastic shroud and a polished overflow
bottle. Custom dipsticks for the engine and trans. The firewall is
painted as smooth as the car. Aluminum steering linkage is
polished.
UNDERSIDE: Body was removed from the frame and the entire
underneath was restored. Up front it has a Fatman front clip with
chromed tubular control arms, rack and pinion steering, new
springs, gas shocks etc. New power brake system, discs in front. In
back it has lowering blocks, new shocks. Bottom of the motor is
clean, has high torque starter, new fuel pump. The trans is a
700R-4 overdrive automatic. Has Chevy 10 bolt rear end.
This is a properly built hot rod ready to drive anywhere or worthy
to be in any show. Just peaking in your garage and seeing it
sitting there will be a great feeling!
