Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is an exceptionally fresh
build that's fantastically coordinated, brutally powerful, and
correctly upgraded (including an A/C interior.) So read on, because
this is the Sting Ray you've been dreaming about.
The C2 Corvette is already an icon, but it took a careful eye to
make this one so memorable. With just over 200 miles on the build,
the Victory Red paint is a true triumph. It highlights the crisp
lines of this restored Sting Ray. And you'll even love the way the
sleek chrome bumpers reflect this red in the sunlight. But this
drop top also has a dark side. The glossy black highlights the
stinger hood, which was a symbol for serious power in the C2 (we'll
tell you how it lives up to this in a moment.) This black hood
looks great against the black roof, so this Corvette looks great
even when the top is up. Plus, they even added redline tires to
coordinate with this total red and black package.
If you like the way the black roof looks, then you'll love taking
it down to reveal the full black interior. Thanks to such a fresh
restoration, the seats look terrific, and they are covered in a
supple leather. The racing flags are a great custom touch, and they
are far from the only upgrade inside. You have cold R134a air
conditioning, so when you want the top up, you can still ride in
comfort. The Corvette was born a driver's car, and so the classic
elements like the bright shifter and three-spoke steering wheel
remain. But now you the best in modern info thanks to the upgraded
Dakota Digital full gauge package.
The motor is just as fresh as the rest of this restoration, and
it's also been thoroughly upgraded. The 396 cubic-inch V8 was
rebuilt earlier last year with hydraulic flat tappet cam, new
lifters, MSD ignition, serpentine belts, Edelbrock Performer RPM
intake, and Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor. And this big
block has a terrific growl out of the side pipe exhaust. Plus, you
have complete control over this enhanced power plant and its
thunderous soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission.
With this kind of power, you'll be glad they also invested heavily
in restoring the fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc
brakes. Because there's an aluminum radiator with electric fans,
this powerful Corvette can easily be driven everywhere - and you
don't even have to worry about idling in traffic with the A/C
pumping.
You're looking at a mix of classic appearance and all the best
upgrades. So if you're looking for a freshly restored icon that
