Talk about an attention getter. This truck is mean, nasty, evil
looking and sounding. So many unique features it makes it
interesting to look at, not just a glance but really look at it.
Dont get the wrong impression, this is not a slapped together "Rat
Rod". There was a lot of money spent, a lot of thought. The engine
and chassis were done to the same standards you would find in a
high end build. It can be used too, it has 2,500 miles since
built.
It has credentials to back up it's desirability- featured in
multiple magazines, a calendar, multiple significant show winner
and on TV: My Classic Car.
EXTERIOR: So many cool features, the coolest of all has to be the
skull headlights. Eyes light up, mouth lights up with the high
beams. Has lantern taillights in back with built in turnsignals.
Started with a 1946 cab. It's been chopped 6 inches, windshield
tilted back 3 inches, channeled down over the frame, doors
converted to suicide. The box is custom made, fenders are 1928
Buick. Grill is 1933 Ford. It's all steel. Painted hot rod black,
hand pinstriped. External steering linkage is a cool feature. Front
wheels are new "old school" Rocket Launchers. Rears are widened
steel rims with baby moons. Mickey Thompson tires, 31x16.5 in
back.
It is tubbed in back to accommodate the huge tires. In the bed is
refinished wood in the shape of a coffin trimmed with copper and
button nail heads. Has 16 gallon fuel tank, working sender,
Aeromotive fuel pump and lines.
INTERIOR: Many cool features. Burgundy and tan suede seats and door
panels. Firewall, cowl, floor have Dynamat. The tunnel is handmade
tounge and groove wood painted bright copper. Has Lokar shifter.
Has Stewart Warner gauges, 12 volt outlet, pinstriped throughout,
stainless fastners. Professionally wired with fuses and relays. Has
seat belts, pushbutton start, quick disconnect steering wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wicked! 1958 Chrysler 392 blown Hemi. Complete
performance build, internally balanced. Best parts- Keith Black
pistons, Sealed Power rings, K-1 rods, PAW valve springs, Cloyes
timing chain, ARP hardware, Crane cam, polished forged crank, fluid
balancer and more. Hot Heads built heads. Dyno tested 550 hp at the
rear wheels, that's about 660 at the motor! On top is a 671 Dyers
blower (specs available) with a cool set of 6 Speedway Motors
Stromberg carbs. Then you have those open headers that will make
your ears ring. This motor is bad ass top to bottom. Has complete
MSD ignition system with rev limiter. Aluminum water pump and
radiator with electric fan keeps it cool.
UNDERSIDE: Wow, underneath is built to high quality show and go
standards. Has custom made, copper powder coated, boxed frame with
tubular gussets. Motor has oversized oil pan, high torque starter.
Trans is a built TCI Turbo 350 auto with shift kit, external cooler
with fan, launch control and extra capacity pan. In back it has
narrowed Ford 9 inch with 350 posi. Front suspension is a Speedway
transverse spring, drilled drop axle with radius rods, pro shocks
and stabilizer bar. In back it has an Art Morrison 4 link set up
with coil over shocks and pan hard bar. All new Right Stuff brake
system with disc at all 4 corners, fronts have vented covers. Every
hose, line, bracket etc under this truck is new and carefully
installed.
A pile of receipts and specs are included. This car will get your
adrenaline going. It will get more attention than a Lamborghini.
