1946 1/2 ton original rust free, all metal, extremely straight example of the last full year of the Chevrolet Art-Deco '41 to '46. trucks.

A California post war farm truck, this truck was manufactured at the Chevrolet truck plant in Janesville, Wisconsin and spent its working life in Keddie Ridge, California, close to the Lassen National Forrest. Have pictures and documentation of the truck working in the high mountains of Lassen County, California. After its working days in northeastern California, the truck spent several years in the high desert of the Yucca Valley in Southern California before I acquired it.

A complete, detailed frame off restoration was just completed this past December. It has only been shown one time since the restoration, when it received an Outstanding Vehicle award at the East Coast Indoor Nationals, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Virtually every mechanical, body and electrical component on the truck has been restored with NOS or professionally rebuilt parts.

The truck is complete with most every option available for the 1946 trucks. This includes the Town & Country dual trumpet horns (including the very rare dash mounted dual horn control switch), Vacuum Windshield Washers (including firewall mounted washer solution jar, cowl mounted spray jets and dash mounted spray button) , firewall mounted Radiator Overflow Tank, automatic Under-hood Engine Light, extremely rare drivers side interior Sun Visor, under-bed Spare Tire Lock, under-dash mounted Chevrolet Radio, GM logo Locking Gas Cap, passenger side Windshield Wiper and Tail Light, Glove Box Light, Heavy Duty Motor Mounts, Heavy duty Radiator, Chevrolet Heater / Defroster (with under-dash multi-speed switches), GM Guide Turn Signals, Backup Light (with under-dash switch), amber lens Fog Lights (with under-dash switch), driver's side Spotlight, large front Bumper / Grille Guard, engine Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Oil Bath Air Cleaner and bumper mounted Trailer Hitch.

The engine is a professionally rebuilt '53 full oil pressure 235, the original factory installed 216 engine is included with the truck (with supporting California title documentation showing the 216 engine serial number is the original engine for the truck). The engine has a rebuilt starter and generator and NOS water pump, fuel pump, carburetor, distributor and coil. The coil is the rare original style with the white porcelain base.

The brake hydraulic components were restored by White Post Restorations, the shock absorber restoration work was completed by Apple Hydraulics and the truck includes 5 new period correct truck tires from Universal Vintage tires.

The interior was been restored using the factory original special Chevrolet hammered beige color paint. All new instruments and instrument panel lighting have been installed. A new, as original, cloth covered wiring harness was custom made for the truck by Y'n' Z Yesterdays Parts. An original NOS Delco-Remy Electrolock ignition lock and armored cable has been installed. The headlights are the original (very hard to find) 1946 glass and metal fused Guide bulbs  All the glass and weather seals are new. The bed floor is the original factory style pine wood painted black. The truck includes a full set of original tools, tool holder, a restored original jack complete with the jack handle and the original manual engine starting crank handle

The truck is located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Close to Hershey and Carlisle.
