For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This has it all! Everything people ask for all in one:
#s match? Yes- motor, rear, paint and interior.
Rust free? Yes, original metal. California-Arizona car.
High quality? Yes, frame off restored.
Have options? Yes, one of the highest optioned 69 Camaros made.
Attractive? Yes, it's down right sexy.
Desirable? Hell yes, a 69 RS-SS in these colors with these options is the ultimate.

Has 69,500 original miles as indicated on the title. The car's condition justifies the miles too.

EXTERIOR: Factory Hugger orange with parchment halo top code 72 E. Claimed to be original metal and our inspection supports that. The body is clean, straight and fits right. The paint is slick, even to the touch. It is blocked and polished like a mirror. All of the stainless moldings, chrome trim and emblems are shiny and bright. The wheels are correct two tone charcoal grey with silver, the trim is real nice. Has BFG tires. It features spoilers, exterior trim package which includes the fender louvers, wheel well moldings and rain gutters. Has the hockey stick stripe done correctly. It is painted on the fender and the portion on the door is a decal, yes that is correct. The front end looks sharp, has bumper gaurds and the hideaway lights open and close properly. Door jambs are very tidy- clean metal, nicely painted, nice sill plates. The weatherstrips are real nice and soft.

INTERIOR: Genuine ivory deluxe houndstooth interior code 729. Also a testament to the original low miles is the interior. I do believe it to be original and it's in fantastic condition. The dash area is extra clean. Gauges and lenses are clean, chrome highlights are not worn or yellowed, nothing cracked, cut or beat up. The heater controls sparkle and slide nice. The Rosewood trim is excellent, the dash pad is not curled, glovebox is clean, has correct cigarette lighter. Has factory Am-Fm stereo with factory 4 speakers. Center console with gauges is in very nice shape. The visors, headliner and mirror are excellent. At a glance the upholstery looks new, if you look closely they have just enough patina to be original. The white deluxe door panels are new, carpets are replaced. Factory seat belts are real nice. Very functional, the interior lights all work, gauges light up light green like they are supposed to, low fuel light works, even the clock works.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has the numbers match 350-300 hp. The motor compartment is looking just as it did when it left the factory. All the correct components like the right air cleaner even has the heat riser tube going down to the exhaust manifold. Has proper fuel filter, hose clamps, fan shroud, deep master cylinder, proper heater control valve and the rubber seal on top of the core support that only came on a/c cars. It even has the auxiliary pump off the wiper motor for headlight washers! Everything is clean, tidy and proper. Smooth metal with correct finishes. The factory air conditioning has been serviced and blows cold.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I was thrilled to see the factory original spatter paint, not from a spray can. I cant remember the last time I've seen original spatter paint in a Camaro. It proves the 1/4 panels and trunk floor have never been replaced. It is still in great shape too. Under the mat shows some insignificant surface haze of rust, I wouldn't paint over it. Has rubber mat, probably the original. Bottom of trunk lid and jamb are slick. Has optional trunk light.

UNDERSIDE: The floors appear to be original and in excellent shape. Smooth dry metal, even the chassis components. The frame was removed, new body bushings installed. Front suspension was rebuilt, replaced ball joints, shocks, springs etc. The trans is a correct replacement Turbo 350 automatic. Has original 3.07 12 bolt rear end. Exhaust, fuel tank, lines, e-brake assembly all look good. Has factory disc brakes in front.

This Camaro checks all the boxes! Whether you want an incredible car to enjoy and show off or if you are a serious Camaro collector- this one will more then satisfy!
