Vehicle Description
When you think about the perfect classic car, what usually comes to
mind is the one that steals the show with a terrific appearance,
and then it steals your heart on the drive home with its all-out
power. That's what gets us excited about this 1969 Chevrolet
Chevelle. The shining paint, nicely restored inside & out, and a
powerful V8 under the hood make this a terrific total package
classic.
The Aztec Red has the kind of shine that can grab your attention
from all the way across a show field. And they really took their
time to get the body straight before the first drop of paint went
on top. The result is a coupe that loves to have the sunlight dance
across its curves. But the investment in this Chevelle goes much
deeper than the paint. The chrome bumpers received plenty of
attention, and so they have the same kind of deep-mirror reflection
as the modern US Mags alloys. Those when have an aggressive
18/20-inch front/rear stagger that's heightened further by a
lowered suspension. And the massive power bulge in the super scoop
cowl hood really completes this intimidating package. But more than
just a sleek and powerful machine, you'll also love the details.
You see it in everything from the premium black vinyl top to the
rarely-seen marker lights on this Canadian market Chevy.
The black roof provides a preview of the full black interior. There
has been a nice investment here to make sure the seats, carpeting,
door panels, dash, and headliner all look correct and new. Plus, we
all love a Chevelle with bucket seats and a center console. This
has great driver features like the upgraded sports steering wheel,
iconic horseshoe shifter, and AutoMeter Phantom auxiliary gauges.
So while there is a nice AM/FM/cassette stereo, you already know
your favorite soundtrack begins under the hood.
Within the dark engine bay lies a bright beast. This is a 400
cubic-inch small block bored out to 409ci total. So you get big
block displacement in small block weight. Plus, this was built to
be a true performance machine. It includes Manley pistons, a Scat
crank, ported heads, titanium push rods & valve springs, and a
truck radiator to keep it all running cool. The enhanced V8 inhales
deeply with a Holley 750 double pumper four-barrel carburetor and
Edelbrock aluminum intake. It exhales with authority as long tube
headers feed the rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust. The consignor
states the total power output is 450 horsepower. This powerful V8
feeds a three-speed automatic transmission with 3200 RPM stall to
keep you in the optimal powerband. This sends the power to a stout
12-bolt rear end with Positraction. Plus, CPP has upgraded the
front and rear suspensions. This includes reinforced tubular A-arms
up front, traction bar in the rear, and air ride in the rear. Plus,
you have power steering, Wilwood front disc brakes, and the grip of
modern Falken tires.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the ideal mix of show and go.
