1996 Chevrolet Impala Sedan
Flashy muscle cars are fun, and polished customs are nice, but, for some folks, there's nothing better than a well-done cruiser. No gimmicks, no frills and no drama; just sun and fun - LOTS of fun.
This exceptionally clean Impala is a classy stunner that mixes 5.7 Liters of V8 power along with complete originality. The consigner loved to show the car, and every now and then give it the old clean out by smashing the boot to the floor. So, not unlike the consigner, if you're looking for a cool classic that's road ready, show-ready and just plain battle-ready, it's the perfect way to go to your local cruise in, and turn some heads.
Dark Cherry Metallic 2 stage is offered up on this "sweet" exterior, which features straight panels of steel, and well minded gaps. A rear deck spoiler, decal badging, 17" Aluminum wheels are seen, and tinted glass for that menacing feel as you glide in stealth mode down the highway.
A swing of the massive but lightly balanced door will put in the land of gray leather, and the smell of it is all but factory (not that is smells like the factory, it smells of leather like it just came from the factory) but I digress...A 45/45 split front seat setup is flanking a clean center console. The back seat stretches from door to door, and looks like it was never sat in. As we scan the dash, one can tell the caretaker was very meticulous, and cared for this car like it was his favorite toy, used but not very much, just enough to have satisfaction of ownership. Speaking of the doors, all controls are at the fingertips of the driver here with power windows, mirrors, locks, seat adjustment, and a comfortable armrest that may not ever had an arm on it, it's that clean. Cruise control, an electronic trunk opener, which up opening the trunk its large enough to live in and has nary a mark on it. The dash also houses the A/C and heat knobs, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo. Flooding the floor is immaculate gray carpeting adorned with protective mats.
The 5.7 Liter SFI V8 is the same engine used in the Corvette and sits in a clean engine bay. It is attached to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The combination of the two, define the word smooooooth!
All clean here showing off some niceties like Decarbon shocks, full coil suspension, a full perimeter frame, solid as a rock I might add, and 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, Also is a safety add on called a Brake/Transmission safety interlock does not allow the driver to shift to D when the brake is not applied. This is good because otherwise this car may take off...literally! And to blast those engine tunes, bringing up the rear is a full stainless-steel exhaust system.
A shower and a goer which brought many an hour of pleasure at shows, and when heads were turned, which when this car pulls up, it's hard not to do. A low mileage, clean and pristine example treated like a favorite toy, and cared for like a favorite child, you cannot go wrong with this one. plus its cherry!..Dark Cherry Metallic.
