Kept Motors.) 1936 Ford Club Cabriolet - Rare California Car Garage
Kept Motors is honored to offer this awesome piece of American
motoring history. 1936 was an excellent year for Ford as they
outsold their archival Chevrolet, even in a mid-depression economy.
That year, Ford sold only 4,616 Cabriolets and only a small batch
of them were Club Cabriolets. In todays market, you will find some
other 1936 Ford Cabriolets for sale, but it is very rare to find a
Club Cabriolet, which indicated a rear seat enclosed by the soft
top. If offers a full trunk - no rumble seat. This is one of those
rare finds. The example offered here is out of an esteemed
collection of vehicles with the current owners caring for the car
for 50 years. They originally purchased the vehicle out of
California from Mr. Bill Wynberg, the cars first owner. The car has
been kept all original during their ownership to preserve the cars
historical significance. The vehicle is finished in factory
original Black paint with a light tan soft top and darker tan
leather interior. All restorations on the car have been done to
original specifications. This '36 is powered by the original, tried
and true Ford 221ci Flathead V8 mated to the original 3-speed
manual gearbox. In September of 2017, the car was mechanically gone
through and is offered here road ready. The only non-original
component is the electric fuel pump, which helps the car start on
command. It runs exceptionally well and offers a nostalgic driving
experience. This is a beautiful example that will be hard to
replicate at this asking price. With all known ownership history,
50-year ownership by our client, and an extremely rare Club
Cabriolet version, it is truly a great find. A car that will
continue to appreciate for years to come. e sure to check out all
the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call
if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
