Supercharged This truck brings the Thunder! First debuting in 1993
as a competitor to the Chevrolet 454SS, this performance based F150
was modified by Ford's Special Vehicle Team to be more than your
average pickup with increased power and handling. The second
generation SVT Lightning came out in 1999 and ran until 2004 with a
suspension modifications and a FlareSide bed. These Gen 2's were
powered by a Supercharged 5.4L V8 that produced 380hp and offered
the heavier duty F350 pickup transmission with Overdrive. Other
upgrades for the 2001 model year included Lower Intake Redesigned,
Air Inlet Size Increased, Power Increased to 380hp (from 360hp) and
450lb/tq, 3.55 Axle Ratio Upgraded to 3.73 Ratio, Driveshaft Size
Increased From 3.5 inches to 4.5 inches. All in all, this truck
meant business when you put your right foot down. The example
offered here was originally from Florida with our client purchasing
it in 2012. SVT made 6,381 Lightnings in 2001 and of those, just
1,722 were finished in Bright Red. This truck also has an upgraded
chrome package with aftermarket chrome wheels with the original SVT
wheels included in the sale. Other noteworthy features include
power windows, power locks, power brakes with discs all the way
around, power steering, SVT seats, power drivers seat, steering
wheel controls, cruise control, original stereo, AC, and a
clean-rust free undercarriage. The car also comes with a clean
CarFax report, two sets of keys with remote fob, books, owners
