1976 GMC High Sierra 400 4x4 Pickup - ONE OWNER Garage Kept Motors
is pleased to offer this one owner classic 4x4 truck that has been
undergone a full mechanical restoration in the past few months. Our
client purchased this truck brand new in Colorado and has owned it
ever since. He moved to Virginia with the truck and most recently
Michigan. It has always been kept indoors and remains rust-free.
The truck was repainted in 1990 to its original black color.
Interior is all original and in great condition. The original,
numbers matching 400 V8 was just rebuilt. Besides most likely being
the only one-owner classic truck on the market, our client just
spent $31k on a complete and professional mechanical overhaul by
Legends Restorations in Sparta, Michigan. Every nut and bolt under
the body was gone through, finished on November 14, 2018. The work
done included the following: rebuild complete brake system
including rebuilding of factory original power brake booster and
master cylinder, replacing rear wheel cylinders, front calipers,
front and rear brake rubber hoses, front rotors, rear drums, front
brake pads, rear brake shoes, rear brake spring and adjuster
hardware kit; labor to remove engine, transmission and transfer
case; removal of engine components including carburetor,
distributor, alternator, fan and pulleys, power steering pump and
brackets, headers, sending units, coolant hoses, radiator, heater
core, and fuel pump; send out components (engine, transmission,
transfer case, brake booster, master cylinder, steering box, power
steering pump, starter, alternator, radiator, carburetor) to
outside services for rebuilding; paint rebuilt engine in correct
factory orange; reinstallation of rebuilt components; installation
of new heater core, alternator and power steering belts, coolant
hoses, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wire set, cap and rotor,
electronic pickup unit, temperature and oil sending units, fuel
pump, air filter, oil filter; change/add front, rear axle and
transfer case lubricant , engine oil, antifreeze, transmission
fluid; replace factory box wooden floor with stainless filler
strips; repair left rear fender comer damage, refinish fender;
replace rear chrome bumper with new. Remove and install new exhaust
system, windshield chrome lock strip, door opening weather
stripping seals, door step sill plates, dash pad with woodgrain
insert, aftermarket Bluetooth radio and speakers, heater blower
fan, (4) new shocks, factory headliner; install new drip rail
molding assemblies; replace dash light bulbs; clean and lubricate
heater cables; replace all rubber rear fuel tank hoses. Every
component was restored to factory specifications except for an
added radio and Vintage AC. You will not find another truck on the
market that has had this much invested from the original owner. An
awesome truck at a very worthy asking price. Be sure to check out
