1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. It was a fully built steel car
as a company showcase vehicle for EMI (Experi-Metal Inc.) of
Sterling Heights, Michigan. EMI is credited for designing the Tesla
all aluminum bodies and the new aluminum alloy 2015-current Ford
F150 bodies. They are the leader in body design for the large auto
manufactures and set the standard, and have taken Best in Show for
their creative builds at SEMA. This car began its life in 1990 and
was built on all C4 Corvette running gear. In 2006, it won the
Detroit Autorama and was given the International New Product Award
at SEMA. It is a beautiful example that you can enjoy on the open
road. And it does have a real 1957 Title from and a real 1957 VIN
so even the pickiest of car show patrons won't know its not a true
Bel Air. The car is finished in stunning Silver over a two-tone
Silver and Black interior with a Black soft top. It is powered by a
Corvette fuel-injected LS1 5.7L V8 with a 700 automatic
transmission and rear-wheel drive. The car features power windows,
power convertible top, AC, power steering, power brakes, front and
rear disc brakes, Chrome Corvette wheels, and a 10-disc CD changer
in the trunk. Last fall the radiator was replaced as well as new
plugs, new injectors, new alternator, and had a fresh oil change.
The car fired on command and runs strong. It get looks and thumbs
up wherever driven. It is a beautifully assembled Bel Air. The body
