Austin 1275 Mini Cooper 'S' MK I in its original colors of Old
English White with Black roof and Red and Gold interior.
Comprehensive restoration on a matching numbers New Mexico 56k mile
accident free car. A very original example sold by us in 2012 to an
enthusiast collector in San Diego who undertook a total down to the
body-shell restoration that took over six years. The shell was
stripped and repainted to a concours standard - see restoration
photos. Original #'s matching engine was totally rebuilt and
balanced with 300 miles on it. A few intelligent upgrades: Engine
103 Cam new manifold new upgraded radiator (runs cooler looks
original) alternator to replace dynamo with control box modified.
Gear reduction starter motor. 123 distributor with adjustable
timing curve. Single piece oil line. All old units are restored and
accompany the car. Also fitted with a fully rebuilt Cooper 'S' 4
speed syncromesh gearbox. The original 22G333 gearbox was fully
rebuilt and restored by Mini Mania and accompanies the car and a
Rare new evolution oil pump from UK in box. All gauges restored.
All brakes reconditioned and new pads and linings fitted. New
master and rear cylinders. New Yokohama 008 tires all round. New
progressive bump stops all round and helper shocks - a competition
department aid for the hydrolastic suspension. This is a fantastic
upgrade that take the strain off the hydrolastic suspension and its
all easily removed if desired. Interior is correct new and
fantastic. New seat covers door panels carpets roof liner and dash.
Also comes with a works comp reclining drivers seat by Newton
International that matches the other seats. Inspections encouraged.
