Vehicle Description
Seriously custom, exceptionally powerful, and absolutely cool, this
1974 AMC Javelin knows how to make a great first impression. But
what you'll really love is that this has been given all the right
recent investments in performance and comfort.
There's just something extra special about a muscle car wrapped in
a bold color. That's why they invested in giving the factory Maxi
Blue a nice respray later in life to upgrade the luster. And the
nice gloss highlights all of the unique curves from AMC. The long
hood with large power bulge, fenders that bright extra-emphasis to
the wheels, sunken rear deck lid with a hint of flying buttress,
and well-integrated rear spoiler - it all makes for a distinctive
classic. And we always love bright chrome bumpers that integrate
into the body line. Not only does this one have the proper black
hood stripe, but it has also been upgraded with matching black side
stripes. And the cool additions don't end there. Pieces like the
LED fog lights and 20-inch alloys add both stature and function to
this standout classic.
Inside is a full custom setup that's optimized for comfort and
performance. For example, the front bucket seats upgraded to modern
competition-style units with nice bolstering. In-between is an
armrest center console and a cool horseshoe shifter. More great
features include power windows and an upgraded Grant sports
steering wheel. The stereo is an AM/FM/CD/DVD stereo w/Bluetooth
that's cleanly mounted into the passenger-side dash. It's connected
to the kind of speakers that will make you want to roll down all
the windows and crank up the tunes. And with cold-blowing air
conditioning, feel free to do this all thought the summer.
Even more great upgrades are under the hood. The 360 cubic-inch V8
looks quite tidy in the color-matched engine bay, and there's
plenty of shine from places like the valve covers and air topper.
Plus, this motor has been enhanced with the right components,
including an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock hi-rise
intake, aluminum radiator, and headers that feed a rumbling dual
exhaust. And if this is starting to sound like a great cruising
coupe, then you'll also love the three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up
front.
This was the last year for the Javelin, and more than just history,
this coupe has the right upgrades to be terrific in modern times.
