SWEET DAILY DRIVER, ORIGINAL ENGINE WITH 4SPD, RUNS FANTASTIC! I purchased this truck from Peachtree Classic Cars in April 2016. Since it was purchased the truck has been re-wired, has new gauges (I still have the originals), added a thermostat control to the electric fan, two new front tires, new dual exhaust, new front brakes and a working emergency brake. I did remove the radio and the wooden bed (the plywood under the bed was getting wet from underneath and beginning to rot). The bed is now steel plate with a waterproof coating. I also have spare tires for the front and year that are mounted in the truck bed. Interior and body are the same as when I purchased it. The new odometer reads 00886. Cosmetic
- Paint/Body: Super straight body with minimal rust, matte black paint is consistent from bumper to bumper. Gulf decal has been removed.
- Interior: Clean interior, rust free floor pans and hinge pockets. Real leather seat.
- Glass/Windows: All glass is in good condition. Rear sliding window. Passenger window rolls half way down (needs to be repaired).
- Trunk: Hardwood bed was removed due to rot. All steel bed in great condition!
- Undercarriage: Rust free frame rails and floor pans. A few minor spots of rust in step-ups and lower fender wells
- Wheels/Tires: Matching old school wheels with newer tires and great tread
Mechanical
- Drivetrain: Original 235 6cyl starts easily and runs strong. Saginaw 4-speed shifts a little chunky (as all do) but runs out great. Lower gears in rear end for higher speed driving.
- Lights/Electrical: All lights work, turn signals, and wipers too. 2 Different old-school horns. Older Pioneer cd player works and cranks out the tunes!
- Brakes: Brakes serviced and stop straight and true
