Vehicle Description
There's something just so special about a straight Chevrolet Nova.
This 1965 Chevrolet Nova is a good example of why. Featuring a
clean red paint job, an inline six-cylinder engine, and a 3-speed
column-shifted manual transmission, this Nova sedan is ready to be
enjoyed on the open road.
Sure it's great to have a show car or a trailer queen, but it's
cars like this Chevy Nova that are the lifeblood of our collector
car hobby. While some reading this are already thinking "too many
doors," I urge you to take a second and take this Nova for what it
is; an affordable classic cruiser with a great look to it sure to
draw a crowd anywhere. Plus, you can carry plenty of friends! The
exterior is in great driver-quality condition with only minor
blemishes. The paint appears to be very close to GM's Victory Red
of the 1980s/1990s and looks fantastic on this little car. The
Torque-Thrust style wheels really set off the red paint and
complete the 4-door hot rod look. This is one of the rare few cars
that looks great as both a 2-door and a 4-door.
Under the hood sits a buzzy little inline six that will happily do
anything you command of it. Because the Nova is such a small car,
even this six-cylinder engine will move it along at an enjoyable
clip. The three-speed manual transmission makes for an even more
enjoyable driving experience, and as a whole this car runs very
well. This is an affordable, classic car that won't break the bank
and is manageable for in-town use. Last but not least, the single
glasspack exhaust gives a throaty tone to even this engine.
The interior is also red which makes for a lovely combination with
the red exterior. Once inside the car, it doesn't feel quite as
small as the exterior appears to be, but it is certainly no
Suburban. It has the classic look just about everywhere, and the
column-shifted transmission is not only a point of driving pleasure
but a conversation piece to boot. A newer Bosch tachometer has been
fitted and is functional; that little inline six really likes to
wind up! The interior is very nice, but not so nice that you'd be
afraid to pile your kids/friends/family members in and go for a
joyride. The radio is a modern unit made to look like the original
unit, so you don't sacrifice any appearance for functionality.
What's a good cruise without good cruising tunes?
If you're looking for a unique little driver-quality cruiser for
under $10,000, you won't find much that is as enticing as this.
While it may be a 4-door, it has that classic look to it and
something about the way it looks is sure to draw a crowd. This is a
running, driving, stopping, classic Nova that just needs a new
driver!
