Vehicle Description
1939 Ford Deluxe Convertible Sedan This fantastic cruiser provides
the best combination of classic styling and modern performance. The
drive train is freshly built and installed only 1156 miles ago. It
features a GM 327ci V8 that has been completely rebuilt. The
transmission is a Turbo Hydramatic 350 rebuilt with TCI components.
The front suspension is Mustang II with Power disc brakes. The AFCO
Aluminum radiator with electric fan keeps everything cool. It
coasts down the road on a set of Wheel Vintique powder coated
wheels with polished stainless steel caps and BF Goodrich TA
radials with Wide White Walls. To round out the amenities, this car
is also equipped with Power steering, Power brakes, Heat and Air
Conditioning. The retro style gauge cluster by Auto Meter and Banjo
steering wheel really complement the nostalgic feel of the
interior. The body is as solid as can be with no signs of rust or
repair. The floors are equally nice and well presented. While the
paint was done more than 10 years ago and has some minor signs of
age, it looks great and has the same authentic mellow aging as the
brightwork. The manually operated convertible top has just been
expertly installed and is BRAND NEW. Its a very high quality Haartz
Cloth and has a glass rear window. The interior is upholstered in
brown, stitched leatherette. Its soft, supple and sits very
comfortably. It also adds to the authentic, period feel of the car.
Operationally, this car is amazing. It runs and drives like a
modern car. The engine has an mellow exhaust note and tons of
torque. The transmission shifts precisely and feels seamless. The
suspension has just the right combination of a comfortable ride and
great handling. The brakes are responsive and positive. In all,
this is an extremely well executed combination of new and old that
gives the driver and passengers a uniquely fun motoring experience.
