Vehicle Description
2001 Ford Mustang GT Convertible
The 2001 model year saw Ford working within their 'New Edge' design
theme. For the Mustang, it meant a visual return to muscle. The
first-generation influence is obvious from all sides, but the mix
of chiseled lines and sharply curved angles allowed the car to
maintain its modern identity.
For consignment a GT version of the iconic Mustang, and a
convertible for some extra fun. Hop in and run like the wild horses
it is named for. A mere 43,974 miles since new.
Exterior
Zinc Yellow clearcoat with a black contrasting cloth top with a
glass window in back, fog lamps, rear deckled spoiler, tinted
glass, and a very raked windscreen, have this car moving fast
forward when its standing still. 16" forged aluminum wheels adorn
all 4 corners, and these are wrapped by P225/55R16 94H rubber. A
hood scoop and rear quarter panel scoops, and an above rocker
racing stripe are exemplary of speed.
Interior
Articulated Sport Dark Charcoal leather bucket seats flank a center
console that has a spacious glovebox/armrest, cup holder, and the
shifter for the 5-speed manual transmission. Conveniences include
power windows, power mirrors, power locks, a leather wrapped
steering wheel with remote controls for hands free cruise control.
Factory air, premium sound and a cassette radio will make it that
you'll never want to get out!
Drivetrain
The 4.6Liter SOHC V8 engine with a 5-speed manual transmission is
seen within the near perfect engine bay. This mill is fuel injected
and fuel efficient to boot.
Undercarriage
The usual surface rust which is unremarkable and typical for an 01
Mustang is noted. Floor pans, frame, and rockers are totally rust
free. Rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes all around, and a
handling suspension with a traction lok axle are seen. Last but not
least a stainless-steel exhaust system snakes its way from the
engine to the rear of the car and throws off a nice throaty sound
when you goose it.
