This is a 1966 Chevrolet Malibu Sport Coupe. I am the second owner. Original 283 V-8 and original 2 speed powerglide transmission. This was a family car in its day and I rode in it when I was 2 years old. Original paperwork including title, invoice, window sticker and Owner’s Guide. 91K total miles. I have put 3K on it since 2012. It has never spent a night outside a garage since I have owned it, yet I take it out and drive it each month and on special occasions. NADA Avg Retail is $22.9K while Hagerty Value (not quite a #2) is $20.9K. All numbers match.
This Malibu was restored in the 90’s with some paint imperfections. It has power steering with a new steering gear box and new power steering line. I have replaced the brake shoes, brake lines and wheel cylinders (with a certified mechanic). It has all new hoses and belts. This car drives well and turns heads every time I take it out. It is perfect for first time classic car owner and for the enthusiast who wants to restore it to a #1 Concours Hagerty valuation. The rear window leaks into the trunk and there is some rust in the trunk. Horn, Wipers, all exterior and interior lights, headlight dimmer, radio and heater all work. Fan lever on the heater needs to be repaired or replaced. I have kept great records on all maintenance since owning this vehicle. In addition, there is Bondo located behind each rear quarter panel from the body work done in the 90's.
I am also adding 4 hub caps that are original to the 66 Malibu Chevelle (not this particular Chevelle), a garage car cover and a binder containing all original documentation and maintenance work (since 2012).
