Vehicle Description
This custom-built all-steel roadster built by expert builders Al
and John Stone. It's a multiple-award-winning car that was featured
on the cover of the February 2017 issue of Street Rodder Magazine
with a 5-page spread inside. This car was also a Street Rodder Top
100 car in 2016 and a Goodguys Award Winner. The build was started
with an original 1923 Ford with an all-steel body. The custom
professionally built chassis boasts a 1947 Ford front axle and
differential with open driveshaft. The rear has a POSIES spring and
custom hairpins. The front has Pete & Jakes quarter-elliptic
springs and shocks with all handmade mounts. Powered by a 350ci V8
engine with Edelbrock intake, carburetor and electronic ignition
backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission with Lokar shifter. Its
numerous custom body modifications include a sectioned model A
grille, shortened turtle deck with trunk, handmade hood and lower
rocker panels, and an aluminum engine turned firewall and
dashboard. The dash panel houses vintage Stewart Warner gauges. The
interior also features a Speedway 3-spoke steering wheel and
Schroeder-style sprint car steering box. This custom roadster rolls
on Ford 15" and 16" Smoothie wheels and '46 Ford hubcaps.
