For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle in Houston, Texas

Vehicle Description

Carlyle Motors is proud to offer for sale this 3 owner, 1967 Chevelle Pro Touring Car that began life as a Chevelle Malibu.  This is not a 138 car and we are kind of glad since pretty much everything that was original to this car is now "Resto Modded" into a gorgeous work of art that sparkles like a new diamond and wins cars shows everywhere it goes!

This car started out as a solid 2 owner car that was originally owned by a "little old lady" from Pasadena (well...Houston, TX.  Literally!)  It was numbers matching and several pieces of original paperwork are still with the car including the original protect-o-plate.  The current (3rd owner) purchased this car from an ad on the Super Car Registry and then the transformation into Pro Touring, Award-Winning Car began.

This beautiful car went through a complete rotisserie nut and bolt restoration that took nearly 3 years to complete.  It was completed in the 2008 to 2010 time-frame but still looks like a brand new, fresh restoration today.  This car barely has 1500 miles on the restoration.

Most of the work was done by Ornduff Hot Rods LLC in Tomball, TX.  But this car went through several top quality shops here in Houston including G & G Performance, GAP Racing and Davinci Performance. Everything under the hood is either chrome or billet aluminum and simply sparkles.  Four wheel power disc brakes completes the package.

The underside of the car is as nice as the top with 3 inch jet hot coated exhaust, lowered control arms and rear suspension.  One off custom made interior with ostrich leather inserts.  Kenwood stereo system and vintage air.  Billet steering wheel to match outside rims which are Boyd 17 x 7 and 18 x 8 chrome wheels.

The car was taken down to bare metal and every panel was either replaced or massaged to be one paint stick gap in every door, hood and trunk jam.  The gaps are simply amazing. Although this car was a solid foundation, the rear quarter panels were replaced with a new set of Goodmark Industries rear quarter panels along with a two-inch Goodmark Industries cowl induction hood, a Zoops billet grill, and a number of other items.  The owner tells us that Ornduff Hot Rods painted the Chevelle in two-tone PPG Black and Lamborghini Titanium.

Under the sparkling Titanium Hood sits a 1978 Chevrolet 350 small-block stroker motor now displacing 383 cubic-inches.  Internally the 383 makes use of an Eagle Rotating Assembly which includes an Eagle crank, a set of ARP-equipped, Eagle h-beam connecting rods and a set of 10.5:1 compression Eagel forged-aluminum pistons.  The valve train consists of a Crane "282" camshaft (@.550-inch max valve lift, @ 280 degrees duration) along with a Crane Double Roller Multiple Index timing chain.  Engine lubrication is handled by a Melling High Volume oil pump, circulating oil through a baffled Milodon eight quart oil pan.  Engine cooling is handled by an Edelbrock High Volume water pump, a Billet Specialties serpentine drive pulley system, and a Be Cool, Inc. Four-core aluminum "Cooling Module".

Bolted up top you will find a set of Dart Industries Pro I aluminum cylinder heads featuring 2.05-inch diameter intake, and 1.65-inch diameter exhaust valves, along with a set of Crane Cams "Gold" rocker arms, springs and retainers.  The valve covers are from GM Performance Parts with K&N breathers while induction comes in the form of a Dura-Shine finish, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and K&N filtered 750 HP Holley carburetor recently rebuilt (2/19/19) by Davinci Carburetors right here in Houston, TX.

The ignition system is GM HEI, while a Texas Quality (3-inch) Stainless Steel Exhaust system makes use of a set of thermal coated Hooker Headers and Magna Flow 3-inch mufflers.  Backing it up is a B&M equipped GM TH350 by Northwest Auto Transmissions.  The turbo 350 transmission has a shift kit, 3000 stall converter and out back is a 3.42 Posi-Trac rear end.

The suspension was upgraded via a George's Automotive installed Hotchkiss Suspension system consisting of a set of two-inch-dropped Hotchkiss front spindles, Hotchkiss Suspension two-inch dropped front coil, and rear leaf springs, Hotchkiss front and rear anti-sway bars, and KYB gas-charged shock absorbers. Wheels and tires consist of a set of Boyd's 17x8 inch front and 18x8 inch rear wheels wrapped with P215/50XZR17 inch Riken Raptor high performance radial rubber front, and P245/45XZR18 inch Riken Raptor high performance radial rubber on the rear.

Inside, Houston, Texas Cy-Fair Upholstery trimmed out the Mazda Miata front bucket seats and '67 Chevelle rear bench seat in black leather with ostrich inserts with black carpeting.  Also on board is a Cy-Fair custom-fabricated console, Stewart Warner Classic instruments housed in a billet dash, along with a Billet Specialties steering wheel, and ididit six-way tilt steering column.

Out back in the trunk area, we find more of Cy-Fair Upholstery's incredible workmanship.  The battery is in the rear of the car with a cut off switch in the trunk.  The trunk is completely finished out with leather and hidden access panels.

The car has won best of show or first place at every car show it has been to as this was built as a show car, meant to win awards.

There is a huge book full of original documentation and receipts that's 3 to 4 inches thick and adds up to over $125,000 in restoration receipts.

A few more details will be added later but this should get you the high points on the car.  I want to add a note about all of these details: There are a ton of details listed in this description and we are relying on the owners details since we don't have all the receipts for all the parts and pieces mentioned above.  If any of the above details need further attention or you have questions or need us to specifically identify and of these components, please let us know.  We have receipts for most of the items listed so they are verified.  However, cam specs and other specs are not available in the packet of receipts but we tried to personally identify or look up the receipts for the majority of these components.  Thanks for your understanding.

Please call me with any questions you may have or to make an offer at 713-466-8630 or on my cell at 832-289-5750.  Call or text is fine on my cell phone.

Thanks for looking at all of our cars!

Sincerely,
