For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet 210 in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1955 Chevrolet 210 Custom

1955 was a huge year for Chevrolet. Not only was the 55 Chevrolet born and greeted with huge success but in addition to chassis improvements the ground breaking small block V8 was born. This was the first successful year for a V8 optioned Chevrolet and many say not only did it save their passenger car but the Corvette as well. They must have done something right because the 55 Chevrolet continues to be successful even over 60 years later. This 55 is a great loooking classic that has a lot going for including a very reasonable price. It has gone through a fully body off rotisserie restoration and only has 1,613 miles on it since being complete. That fact alone should make you think our asking price is a steal! The body is very straight and all rust free. It is painted in a two tone White and Purple Rain metallic color which is one of the more unique colors you will ever see on this car. Drive the car at night or cloudy days and passersby will claim it is Black. Get it out in the sun and the color really comes to life. As you walk around it the sun hits the different corners and curves revealing a Purple almost dark Red Brandywine color. The paint was done by KC from former Fast N Loud TV fame and he did an excellent job. You can tell the quality by looking at the door jams and how everything was laid out. The stainless on the car has a beautiful shine as does the chrome window trim, new grill and California bumpers. The doors of the car have been shaved so they now open via the interior handle or key fob and the deck has been shaved as well except for the lock. The chassis was gone through during the rebuild and was painted Black. Looking the car over there really isn't any areas of concern as it was done nicely throughout. It rolls around on American racing wheels with Goodyear tires.

Turning those tires is a stock 350 V8 300HP crate motor that runs well. It has been fitted with an Edelbrock manifold, 650cfm Holley carb, chrome valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, and aftermarket headers. The block/heads on the motor are nicely painted in Chevrolet Orange. It doesn't have any heating issues thanks to the aftermarket Aluminum radiator. The car sounds great rolling down the road and the motor is paired with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly. Backing that is a 10 bolt posi rear end with 2:73 gears out of a 1978 El Camino. Disc brakes are added up front and are power assist. That along with power steering make it a very comfortable car to drive. It has been mini tubbed in the rear which gives it a cool look and allows room for 9 1/2 inch wide tires on the back. The battery of the car has been relocated to the trunk and there are zero electrical issues as it was totally redone with a Dolphin wiring harness.

The interior of the car was very nicely done and very clean. You can tell that the car is fresh and well maintained due to how nice the upholstery work is. It has a split bench seat up front and a bench in rear both of which are comfortable with plenty of space. It is done in a Black roll pleat style and looks great. The headliner is Black and is tight with no sagging or wrinkles. The dash of the car is nicely done in a combination of original and aftermarket components. It features the original layout with the correct bow tie trim, original style AM/FM radio, knobs and switches. The gauge cluster however has been upgraded with very cool Dolphin gauges mounted in the original gauge space. The Ididit tilt column has a nice shine and is topped off with a Woodgrain steering wheel. A nice B&M shifter is mounted to the floor and is the ratchet style that allows you to drive as a normal automatic or control the shifting. The gas pedal is the old school style foot pattern and it has the matching one on the bright headlight switch.

This is a very nicely built 55 that has a lot to offer. You can't by fully redone cars like this everyday for this reasonable price. The only thing we could identify that a potential buyer may want to do to it is add AC but guess what? All of the components for an underdash unit come with the car! You really can't beat this deal so jump on it before someone beats you to it.

This thing is worth every penny of $34,900.00!
