Vehicle Description
With a numbers-matching V8 power, stick shift, cool colors, and low
mileage, this 1974 Chevrolet Corvette offers quite a lot of what
you want, and it's all for a value price.
These later C3s have a very cool look with the front and rear
bumpers color-matched. That way nothing interrupts the wave-like
design as it accentuates the long hood, flowing fenders, and
classic flying buttress rear. But a good corvette has the right
American-style brightwork, too, and so you have plenty of shine in
places like the rockers, rear luggage rack, dual mirrors, and
optional 15-inch alloys. They all look distinctive against this
upgraded maroon paint. The shade has a bit more vividness than even
the factory Dark Red offered in '74. That gives it some nice
distinction without straying from the Corvette faithful. We won't
pretend the paintjob is perfect, but it offers a nice gloss today,
and at this price, it leaves room in the budget if you want to
upgrade it later.
The saddle color interior looks outstanding against the exterior
maroon, and so you know you'll love driving with the T-tops out.
This has a great premium feel with wood-like trim, an upgraded
AM/FM/cassette stereo. Of course, the real reason why you love a
classic Corvette is that it's setup to be a true driver's machine.
That's why you have high-back bucket seats, a grippy three-spoke
sports steering wheel, a large speedo and tach directly in front of
you, and all the right auxiliary readouts sitting at eye-level in
the center of the car. There's a polished shifter just so it looks
like a shining beacon calling out for your right hand.
Under the hood is an exceptionally honest original V8. In fact, we
rarely still see the diaphragm that seals air intake to the cowl
induction hood. This numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch small block
inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and it makes a sweet
sound as it exhales out of the dual exhaust. These motors have
great head-snapping torque, and you really get to take full control
thanks to the original Muncie four-speed manual transmission. More
than just great off the line, this Stingray is built for the grand
tour. Power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and the
fully-independent sports suspension means this is the classic car
that loves your favorite road as much as you do.
The sale comes complete with the original warranty card, owner's
manual, and maintenance records. So this is the low-mileage and
distinctive classic that's offered for an irresistible price. Call
