1981 CJ5 with original body tub. This Jeep has NEVER had any rust
and has been garaged its entire life. Original floor is in
excellent condition and like the body tub, has never had any rust.
Completely rebuilt from the frame up so mileage listed reflects
time since then. Body was media blasted to bare metal and confirmed
no rust or repair. Front fenders have been replaced due to minor
de-lamination. The original owner sent this Jeep directly from the
dealership in Texas to Novak Conversions which was at the time
located in Santa Fe Springs, CA to have the conversion done for a
Chevy 350. There is a Novak data plate on the fire wall that
reflects this. The engine has 1722 miles on it and is mated to a SM
465 transmission which was ordered directly from Novak. Just about
everything on this Jeep is new including brake and fuel lines,
wiring harness, all mounting bolts and hardware, drive shafts,
exhaust system, etc. To the best of our knowledge this Jeep has
never had a top on it as no holes were drilled in it's original
body tub. As a result no top is included. Jeep is in mechanically
excellent condition with the only issue being an inop fuel guage.
Original fan/heater box was not replaced during the rebuild but
aftermarket parts are available.
