Vehicle Description
This 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 was formerly owned and built by Carroll
Shelby. Dodge hired Carroll to design a performance truck based on
the Ram chassis. The original engine was replaced with a viper
8.0-liter 10-cylinder engine by Carroll himself in partnership with
Dodge and, based upon his design, later transitioned to the Dodge
SRT-10 produced in 2004. Accompanying the sale of the vehicle is a
signed Vehicle Authenticity Certificate solidifying the truck was
owned by Carroll Shelby. Also, the title is still in Carroll
Shelby's name. The truck features a 47RE automatic transmission,
custom electric engine cooling fan, custom twin Viper T-body intake
manifolds, MP headers and an MP engine controller. It's painted in
Enhanced Viper Red tri-coat paint and has custom 2.5" exhaust with
high-flow catalytic converters. CARFAX shows FCA US LLC
manufacturer safety recall issued on 04/25/2001: Secondary hood
latch.
