Vehicle Description
A 1999 Ford Mustang GT with shining paint and a leather interior
with cold A/C makes for a nice modern classic. Of course, what
really has you looking at this one is the beastly supercharged V8
and all the hardy supporting components that make this a
street-eating performance car.
Ford celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Mustang in a big way,
that goes way beyond the cool special badges. 1999 was a redesign
that toughened up the looks, with sharper bodylines and new more
aggressive touches. So that makes for the ideal modern classic to
upgrade. The bold black scoop with redline stands out distinctively
from the well-kept Silver Metallic paint. And in back there's an
upgraded spoiler and more blacked-out treatment on the trunk and
rear valance. And a nice midpoint between the black and silver are
the pewter 17-inch SVT alloys. So this one has a very sharp look
that gives plenty of clues to the upgraded power within.
Buying a modern classic also means getting more modern
conveniences. The leather bucket seats used in this generation are
arguably the best-looking factory seats ever offered in a Mustang,
and the driver can power adjust it to the perfect comfort position.
These even has the essential running horse emblem embroidered as a
tribute to the original "Pony Package" cars 35 years prior. There
are plenty of great features like power windows, cruise control,
and power door locks. And because it's a modern classic there are
great factory features you don't get from older vehicles like dual
airbags, Mach 460 AM/FM/cassette stereo w/CD player, and keyless
entry. Plus, the air conditioner runs on modern R134a for easy
servicing. And as you look over the whole interior, you start to
get the tingle that comes from all the right performance upgrades.
You now have white-faced gauges. The panel surrounding them has
been replaced with a carbon fiber unit that incorporates a space
for boost and intercooler readouts. Plus, that Hurst shifter is
just calling out for your right hand.
One look under the hood, and you know exactly why this Mustang has
all these speedy upgrades. The GT's 4.6-liter V8 has an Eaton M90
series II supercharger on top. Plus, this hardy V8 has been
enhanced and reinforced further with a Chicane 3.5 cold air cold
air intake, 99mm mass air flow sensor, Ford Racing 42lb fuel
injectors, SVT fuel pump, Accufab 75MM throttle body, and a Cobra
radiator. And the full package has been optimized with a
DiabloSport tune. Not only was Ford's modular V8 built robust
enough for these upgrades, but so was the five-speed manual
transmission. So you have a stout and speedy machine. Plus, with
power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, grippy Nitto Extreme ZR
tires, and sway bars front & rear, this is a coupe built for
performance.
The sale comes with the original window sticker, warranty card,
owner's manual, maintenance records, and photos from when this GT
was upgraded into elite sports car status. This is a powerful and
sleek Mustang that commands attention. And at a price like this, it
commands your attention right now!
