Vehicle Description
This 1961 Dodge M201B1 is powered by a 230ci 6-cylinder engine
backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. One of 519 made, its
frame-off restoration was finished in 2008 and was recently
repainted with new decals. During the restoration the cab and bed
were taken off and the frame sandblasted, along with the front and
rear axles, transmission and transfer case. The diamond plate on
the bed was replaced, and the entire bed was sandblasted and
repainted. The cab was also sandblasted and repainted, and a new
wiring harness from Vintage Wiring was installed. The rebuilt
engine has less than 500 miles since its completion, and all seals
on the truck have been replaced. The restoration of truck was done
to replicate the overhaul look done in 1964 by the U.S. Army rather
than the factory look. The vacuum wipers are not operational.
