This 1964 Giulia Sprint Speciale is a desirable 101-series model
originally delivered to a customer in Milan. The original Italian
registration booklet shows it remained with the first owner until
1980 when it was sold to an American buyer. Treated to a bare metal
respray in Alfa Red (AR501) and a comprehensive mechanical overhaul
in 2010, it is a superb example. It is powered by a period-correct,
proper specification Tipo 101.21 Veloce engine, and includes front
disc brakes and original Borrani wheels. The 1600-cc twin cam is
detailed with proper labels, markings and hardware. Following the
comprehensive restoration, the Alfa took part in the 2010 Concorso
Italiano, winning the award for the Best 101-series Alfa Romeo in
what was no doubt a very crowded and highly competitive field. It
has since been sympathetically maintained and remains in excellent
condition throughout. The sale includes an original tool roll, Alfa
Romeo Storico certificate, original Italian log book, owner's
manual and Concorso Italiano award. To view this car and others
