Vehicle Description
The 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II was the first year of the
second generation. A large number of power-equipment features were
included. The Mark II was offered with a single option: $595 for
air conditioning and this car is so equipped. The 368 cu in 6.0L
Y-block V8 starts, runs and drives well, boasting 285HP from the
factory. In 2010 over $6,000 of mechanical work was done to ensure
its drivability including: carburetor rebuild, push rods, exhaust
valves and seats, heads rebuilt, hoses, belts, heater motor and
more. Brakes, suspension and handling are all in good working
order. The car was re-painted many years ago in Pastoral Blue by a
previous owner, paint would be considered a twenty footer with a
few scuffs. The exterior code "05" Forest Green followed by "1C2D"
would indicate Light & Medium Green after decoding it appears the
car had a complete color change. The spare, tire cover and jack are
all present. The Continental Mark II is a nice, solid,
driver-quality Lincoln that would bring plenty of enjoyment. Air
