For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This Camaro has all the hot ingredients to make it fast, reliable, comfortable and handle like a sportscar. NFL All Pro Greg Olsen built this car and later sold it at a Barrett Jackson auction in 2016 for $100,000. We purchased it from Hendrick Performance.

EXTERIOR: It has a tough look- minimal chrome trim, shadow gray paint, aggressive stance and wheels. It also features cowl hood, spoilers and a single wide stripe. Overall the paint shows very well, glossy and smooth. It may have a few flaws if you look for them. The chrome and stainless trim was replaced. Has nice looking billet marker lights. All new glass. The weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. Has new staggered size US mag wheels with Nitto performance tires. 17s in front
and 18s in back. Convertible top is black, no issues. The top frame is restored.

INTERIOR: The custom interior offers function and looks. The sport bucket seats will hold you in place around those tight turns. Rear seat is upholstered to match. The roll cage ads safety and stiffens the body, it can be removed if you prefer. The Auto Meter gauges make monitoring the engine vitals easy. New Vintage Air controls. A nice chrome emergency brake was relocated between the seats.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a bulletproof Dart 427 short block. Just the block with balanced assembly including forged pistons, rods and steel crank cost over $6,000! Then add to that aluminum heads, intake and water pump. A FAST fuel injection starts easy and runs MSD ignition system and wires. The front of the motor has modern components including upgraded power steering, alternator and air conditioning. The a/c hoses are run behind the fender. There is a serpentine pulley system. The radiator and heater hoses are braided with aero fittings, has custom swivel goose neck and the aluminum radiator keeps things cool. The brake booster and wiper motor are upgraded. The motor compartment dressed up nice, has a painted filler panel on front.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal painted dark spatter finish. There is a Magna dual battery system with billet hold downs and a disconnect.

UNDERSIDE: Has a Tremec 5-speed, great at the stoplight and on the highway. Has hydraulic clutch and heavy duty bell housing. In front it has fat, heavy duty tubular upper and lower control arms, fat sway bar. New springs, KYB gas shocks, rack and pinion steering. Bottom of the motor has an oversized Moroso oil pan, mini high-torque starter. Long tube stainless headers connect to an all stainless steel, 3 inch exhaust system. They did a great job of making that fat exhaust fit neatly under this car. Custom made aluminum driveshaft connects to the 12 bolt rear end. In back it has custom 2 piece leaf springs, adjustable gas shocks and CalTrac tubular control arms. Frame connectors were installed to stiffen the body. Custom fuel system includes a polished aluminum tank, has electric pump, a regulator and braided lines. There are disc brakes at all four wheels, e-brake is hooked up.

This is a genuine muscle car, the real deal. If you are the type that drives your car, and I mean "drive" it then you will love this one. It is fast, it handles like a sportscar. If it wears you out you can still click the a/c on, put on your favorite tunes and pop it into 5th gear and go for a cruise!
