Vehicle Description
This LT4 Camaro is #19 of 100 Camaros in the U.S. commissioned by
GM to receive a Corvette Grand Sport engine. The 5.7-liter V8
engine was disassembled, blueprinted and equipped with special
exhaust, stainless-steel lightweight flywheel, a performance
pressure plate, lightweight driveshaft, Hurst short-throw shifter,
engine oil collar, torsion limited-slip differential and a
heavy-duty rear. The engine comes with a 10.8:1 compression ratio
and redlines at 6,300 rpm. All that power is laid down by way of a
6-speed manual transmission. MotorTrend tested an LT4 SS, and the
car ran from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and sprinted the
quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds. These are the same numbers that the
magazine came up with when testing the 1996 Corvette Grand Sport.
All 30th Anniversary LT4 Camaros are identified by their Arctic
White paint with Hugger Orange stripes on the hood, roof and rear
deck. Orange SS badging adorns the front fenders and rear deck, and
a functional hood scoop rises slightly above the hood and feeds
fresh air to the engine. This LT4 Camaro has 21,371 actual miles.
