For those lucky enough to spend most of their time in the backseat
of their luxury automobile, driven around the streets of their city
by their chauffer, there is just one car that will suffice. The
long-wheelbase Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II added an extra 25.4 cm to
the rear compartment alone. Also providing any chauffeured
passengers with the utmost in comfort, Rolls-Royce fitted new
Automatic Ride Control, which adapted the suspension to
split-second changes in road conditions. This new suspension system
was without equal in the motoring world, and enthusiasts everywhere
wanted their own.
If the Silver Spur II was not quite enough for your tastes,
Rolls-Royce collaborated with Mulliner Park Ward to offer the
limited-edition 'Mulliner Spur' for the 1990 and 1991 model years.
Each Mulliner Spur was finished identically in Bordeaux paint with
Magnolia coach lines and a matching Magnolia leather interior. The
cars were further customised without the usual Everflex roof,
colour-coded bumpers and headlamp surrounds, stainless steel body
trim and a refrigerator built in between the rear seats, amongst
other touches. An initial build run of 25 was planned, but the
Mulliner Spur was so popular that 71 examples were built in
total.
Ordered to Japan through official importer Cornes & Co., Ltd., this
Mulliner Spur retains its original colour combination of Bordeaux
paint over Magnolia with red piping and carpets. According to its
Japanese export certificate, it was first registered in April 1991.
Twenty-five years later to the month, the Rolls-Royce was exported
to Switzerland after being purchased by the current owner. Since
then, it has been carefully maintained and preserved. Accompanied
by its original Japanese owner's manuals, this Silver Spur II is
sure to provide a smooth and comfortable ride to the next lucky
owners.

F�r Menschen, die sich die meiste Zeit im Fond Ihrer Limousine
durch die Stra�en ihrer Stadt chauffieren lassen, ist nur ein Auto
gut genug. Die Langversion Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II verf�gte
gegen�ber der Basis des Spirit �ber einen um 25.4 cm verl�ngerten
Radstand, der allein dem hinteren Beinraum zugutekam. Um den
Fondpassagieren auch den Gipfel des Komforts bieten zu k�nnen,
hatte Rolls-Royce f�r das neue Modell die �Automatic Ride Control"
entwickelt, eine Fahrwerkselektronik, die Unterschiede in der
Stra�enbeschaffenheit in Bruchteilen einer Sekunde ausb�geln konnte
- ein System ohne Gleichen in der Automobilindustrie.
Wem der Silver Spur II noch nicht exklusiv genug war, der konnte
sich in den Modelljahren 1990 und 1991 bei Rolls-Royce die in
Zusammenarbeit mit Mulliner Park Ward gebaute �Limited Edition" des
Mulliner Spur bestellen. Passend zum Innenraum in Leder magnolia
erhielt jedes der einheitlich in bordeaux lackierten Sondermodelle
einen Zierstreifen ebenfalls in magnolia. Eine weitere Besonderheit
stellte der Entfall des Everflex-Dachs dar. Hinzukamen neben
anderen Details Sto�f�nger und Scheinwerferumrandungen in
Wagenfarbe, Zierteile aus Edelstahl und ein K�hlschrank, der
zwischen beide R�cksitze eingebaut wurde. Der Mulliner Spur erwies
sich als so beliebt, dass aus der urspr�nglich geplanten Auflage
von 25 Einheiten am Ende 71 wurden.
Dieser Mulliner Spur wurde vom japanischen Rolls-Royce Importeur
Cornes & Co., Ltd. in der Farbkombination von bordeaux mit Leder
Magnolia mit rotem Keder und roten Teppichen geordert, die er noch
heute tr�gt. Das japanische Exportzertifikat belegt, dass dieser
Spur II im April 1991 das erste Mal zugelassen wurde. Auf den Monat
genau 25 Jahre sp�ter wurde dieser Wagen vom heutigen Besitzer
gekauft und in die Schweiz importiert. Seitdem ist er ausgiebig
gepflegt und gewartet worden. Dazu kommt die original japanische
Betriebsanleitung. Dieser Rolls-Royce wird seine neue Besitzer in
unvergleichlichen Komfort h�llen.
