Vehicle Description
1973 PORSCHE 911S for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to present
this 1973 Porsche 911S Coupe featured in Metallic Green (#8383)
with Cork leatherette interior. This car has been subject to a
meticulous, thoroughly documented, nut and bolt restoration. It has
known history going back about 40 years and a huge photo file
showing the best craftsmanship applied to a sound original car. Its
current configuration matches the included Porsche Certificate of
Authenticity. From notes in the history the car appears to have
been owned by a mechanic in Palm Beach, FL from 1982-84. He
purchased it from the wife of a fellow who owned the car from
1973-82. The mechanic sold it to another fellow in FL who owned it
from 1984-2004. During that time he advanced the odometer from 72k
to 104k miles and it is reported to have had an undamaged history.
At one point he painted and re-trimmed the car. In 2004 the car was
sold on to an enthusiast in Los Angeles. Then, in 2005 the car was
purchased by another enthusiast in the East who after owning the
car for many years commissioned the total nut and bolt restoration
putting the car is the superb condition you see today. The 1973
911S is powered by Porsches 2.4L motor with MFI (mechanical fuel
injection) with a 5-speed gearbox. These are rated by enthusiasts
among the most desireable and best handling of the early 911s. With
185 HP, this 911S does 0-60 in about 6.6 seconds, which was
outstanding for the period. Here is an investment-grade collectible
Porsche with known history, documented restoration, matching
numbers, and a delightful special order color combination. Drive,
tour or show with pride.
