This is an amazing and simply gorgeous condition Jaguar XJ6 saloon.
Finished in Burgundy metallic (Bordeaux) with tan leather interior
there is virtually nothing on this example that is not simply
immaculate. The best way to describe this Jaguar is to pretend you
are in the mid 80's and you are buying a well-kept certified 1983
Jaguar from the authorised dealer. This car was the subject of a
monumental (and somewhat crazy) restoration some 8 years ago. Over
$40,000 was spent to include "all things mechanical", a complete
"windows out" repaint with all new rubbers and gaskets, and an
amazing interior refinish. This included some $10,000 spent on
buying factory correct leather and completely reupholstering the
seats to as-new standard, new headliner and the burl walnut removed
and professionally re-finished. The car looks outstanding and,
although a crazy investment, a huge bonus for today's buyer. This
is a 3 meticulous owner car with some 116,000 miles, which will
disappoint some, but if you consider the money spent, I think its
very easy to forgive the mileage. Everything works as it should and
as pictures show, is in immaculate presentation. Recently serviced
and all in working order to include new shock and steering bushings
and brake service by experienced technicians. Mechanically the car
is fantastic with no known issues. Just a quick look under the hood
is testament to how well this XJ6 has been maintained. Every single
feature and function works as it should; windows, door locks,
sun-roof, antenna, stereo, A/C, heater, interior and exterior
lights, horn (both high and low).... the complete list. Body and
paint is excellent. Very shiny and consistent with hardly a minor
chip here in there. There is no rust in the typical areas namely;
the bottom of the front and rear windows, lower fenders, rockers
and wheel arches. Mounted are specification correct 215/70-15
whitewall tyres on chrome wire wheels. If you don't like wire
wheels, I have an excellent set of factory correct 5-star alloys
that can be purchased. If you are not into whitewalls on Jaguar,
they can simply be flipped. The interior is simply breathtakingly
stunning and can be subject to no criticism. The original carpets
are excellent and the new factory correct leather is literally like
a 1-year-old Jaguar. The dash top-roll is like new and certainly
without cracks. Have a close look at the buttons and switchgear;
they are all in excellent condition. Simply amazing. The rear
parcel shelf shows no sign of fade. She is also a non-smoker car so
clean and sweet. Not much more can be said but to invite you to
take a close look at the many, many photos of this great Jaguar
saloon. Truly an immaculate example, I am sure you will agree.
Surely amongst one of the better examples available for sale today.
