Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Bus Deluxe Pop-up. The Type 2 VW Vans
remain an iconic historic figure today. The Westfalia-Werke Van
Conversion Company converted the Type 2 VW Vans in to these awesome
campers. Volkswagen described the Campmobile as "having a cottage
that goes anywhere you want to go". These icons are still nostalgic
head turners today with a lot of fans whenever they head down the
road or pull in to a campground.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly original 1978 VW
Westfalia. The VW came to us from Oregon. Much of the vehicle
remains original and untouched including the engine bay area and
the clean, dry frame and underside. It is powered by its 2 liter
pancake style engine and 4 speed manual transmission. This Westy is
outfitted with the Campmobile standard options including the 2 seat
rear bench, rear upholstered cushion over the engine compartment,
roof locker, 110 AC power, 3 shelve wardrobe, closet , icebox,
kitchen unit with sink, water tank, stove, spare wheel, crank out
louvered side windows and swivel seat.
The Westfalia pop up conversion is excellent in all aspects
featuring excellent tenting, screens and functioning zippers. When
the Westy is in full nighttime mode, it sleeps 4 comfortably.
Mechanically, this Westy is very fit, drives great and is ready to
take you and your crew on a great adventure.
Since its inception, the VW Westfalia Campmobile has been very
popular and have been used all around the globe. To this day, it is
one of the most recognized and loved vehicles on the planet as it
offers many past memories for all walks of life. They remain highly
sought after and one in this condition is a proven investment.
According to the previous owner, this Westfalia has a fully rebuilt
engine. The tires and canvas top are new as well.
