1990 Ford Cobra Continuation Car
Building on the legacy of the iconic 1965 Cobra, This Cobra Continuation car is a true Ford Motor Company authorized Cobra re-creation. Ford gave limited authorization to the Excalibur Car Company to build 178 Cobras under exacting guidelines. To meet the existing 1990 emission and safety standards placed on cars manufactured and sold in the US, these Cobras were equipped with the highly regarded 5.0L V-8 Ford engine. The efficient and solid power plant was mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. For safety and comfort, the car was outfitted with power steering, power disc brakes, A/C, stereo and much more.
It is important to note that this is not a kit car! Ford Motor Company authorized the limited production of 178 cars and were sold through major Ford dealerships with a price tag of $100,000! The car presented auction is the only one produced in the blue/black color combination and sits on custom wheels. It has a soft top and side windows and is a true eye catcher, both coming and going!
