Few cars represent the golden age of muscle better than a 1969
Hurst/Olds. By teaming with Hurst to build a special edition,
limited production car, Olds was able to circumvent GM's rule
prohibiting engines larger than 400 cubic inches in intermediate
cars. The Hurst/Olds comes armed with the W-46 455, a 380
horsepower Rocket with W-30 heads, cam, and distributor. The best
part about this motor is the brutal 500 lb/ft of torque. This
beautiful example proudly features its original, numbers matching
engine. When coupled with the performance tuned Turbo Hydra-matic
400, this Olds leaves with the best of 'em. Of course, a highlight
of the package is the trick Hurst Dual-Gate shifter. It allows
fully automatic operation, or you can use it as a manual ratchet
shifter. The color scheme for '69 is Cameo White with Hurst
Firefrost Gold accent stripes and black pinstriping. The effect is
stunning, and it makes a '69 Hurst/Olds instantly recognizable. If
the paint isn't enough, the car has a unique hood scoop (with bold
H/O 455 callouts) that works with the air cleaner to provide a
functional forced air system, a massive rear wing, Olds SSII wheels
and special British-sourced mirrors. The interior is pure
Oldsmobile, with an ornate pattern on the doors, tilt steering
column, bucket seats, and walnut-pattern woodgrain on the dash and
center console. One more thing. This car is hallowed ground. The
First Lady of Motorsports, Miss Hurst Golden Shifter, the Lovely
Linda Vaughn personally signed the inside of the decklid. From
