Vehicle Description
2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT
This version starts life as a regular Mustang GT, built in the Flat
Rock, Michigan assembly plant, and is then shipped to the Shelby
factory in Las Vegas for the $10,530 transformation to a Shelby GT.
When it comes out the other side, the 4.6-liter V8 makes 319
horsepower, a gain of 19 ponies over a Mustang GT. Extra hardware
includes a cold-air intake; a slightly more aggressive
engine-computer tune-necessitating premium fuel-a high-flow
exhaust; a welcome inch-and-a-half drop with stiffer shocks,
springs, and anti-roll bars front and rear; and a short-throw Hurst
shifter for the five-speed manual transmission.
For consignment the above described version with a mere 1,151
original miles! It actually could still have the break in oil in
it, although maybe not. Only a quantity of 6,000 units were
produced during this year, so it has become somewhat collectible.
Read on if I've sparked your interest.
Exterior
Bathed in performance white clear coat, with an added silver dual
stripe down the middle, this car is all correct for the Shelby
upgrade. Seen are a hood scoop, a billet front grille insert and
Mustang pony badge, racing grade hood pins, a front and rear
fascia, side scoops, and 18" premium aluminum wheels. A silver-gray
stripe runs from the front wheel well, to the rear wheel well just
above the rocker.
Interior
A Hurst short throw shifter is flanked by a driver's side 6-way
power, and passenger power leather buckets. In the rear is a split
leather bench that folds down for more space if needed. Power
windows, power locks, air conditioning, rear defrost, cruise
control and a Shaker 500 Audio system which can pump out from
AM/FM/MP3/ or 6-Disc CD player. Custom Shelby floor mats are seen,
and a "Shelby GT" aluminum threshold on both sides.
Drivetrain
The 4.6 Liter 3V OHC V8 engine coupled to a 5-speed manual
transmission and Shelby 3.55 rear gear ratio, and you are ready to
do some damage!
Undercarriage
Noted as surgically clean, virtually no rust excepting the
occasional steel part having surface rust. Front and rear dampers
have been installed, lowering springs, front and rear sway bars,
and a strut tower brace. A performance X pipe exhaust, and
performance mufflers are seen.
A near perfect car in the infancy of its break in period, presents
very well, and sounds great to boot! What more could you ask
for?
