Vehicle Description
The original Lincoln Continentals were essentially a hand-built
personal luxury vehicle built for the wealthiest of the wealthy.
This 1948 example has undergone an extensive high-end resto-mod
type restoration maintaining the original exterior elegance while
transforming the ride and perfomance of a modern day luxury
vehicle. The entire chassis and suspension have been boxed and
modified with independent front suspension complete with power disc
brakes and power steering. It sits on Ride Tech Airbags on all four
corners, remotly controlled allowing a smooth comfortable ride and
traditional look or it can be lowered to the ground transforming it
into a Hot Rod Lincoln.Powered by a 351 ci V-8 Ford engine backed
by a C4 Automatic Transmission with a 9' Ford Differential. IOt has
a custom aluinum radiator, B&M dual side draft air breather,
Billet pulleys and valve covers. It rides on Billet wheels and
nostalgic wide white walls.The interior was custom upholstered by
Martinez a top 10 auto interior shop. The seats and headliner are
ivory parchment leather a Genie shifter and Vintage Air to keep it
cool.
