Vehicle Description
This 1979 Ford F150 4x4 Pickup is a Ranger and is a great looking
truck! Another Western truck, this one was owned by the same family
from new. The Original Owner (father) gave it to his son when he
passed away and years later his son restored the truck to what you
see now. This was a quality restoration and the truck was driven
some, but still looks really very nice. It runs and drives awesome!
The body on this truck is extra clean and has all of it's original
metal except for the front floors. They were replaced when it was
restored because they had some minor pinholes, so the son elected
to have them professionally replaced and they did a great job.
Super straight truck with really nice paint. It has all of the XLT
trim and it also has newer wheels and tires. Tires are BFG's
(31X10.5X15). The restoration is not very old so the paint is
pretty new (2-3 years old). It was painted in the original colors
of Silver Metallic and Raven Black. What a great color
combination!!! The interior is really nice and very original. When
the truck was painted they painted the inside of the cab as well
and added new carpet, headliner, and seat cover.
The drivetrain is strong and has no issues. Engine is the original
400M and we were told it was rebuilt around 20,000 miles ago. The
rebuild was done to stock specs and it runs excellent. They did add
dual exhaust so it sounds great when running. The transmission is
the C6 Automatic and it shifts great with no issues. Transmission
was rebuilt at the same time the engine was. They also went through
front end and axles. There are new ball joints and a new steering
gear box. 3.50 Gears front and rear. This truck drives really nice
and all of the lights, blinkers, gauges, wipers are working!! We
hand pick each vehicle, drive it, inspect it, and make sure it is
ready for you to enjoy! We drive what we sell so that we can give
you a first hand and accurate report on how the vehicle runs and
drives.
