This is a BEAUTIFUL Restored BLACK 1955 FORD F100 SHORT-BED V8 AUTOMATIC.
This project started as a true rust free California Car, which was built in San Jose California and spent its life in Southern California. I bought this car from a very handy nice gentlemen in Mission Viejo, CA. He had owned the car for a long time. The truck was in a great mechanical condition and a perfect project to continue the restoration. This is an amazing truck that hasn't been chopped or cut up. Body style and interior is mostly restored to its original beautiful condition, but engine and transmission and style were upgraded to a bit more power and performance.

Body and Paint:
California Car with great solid body. In late 2018 the truck was painted in gloss black. They really did a beautiful quality paint job. Please see all photos. It looks even better when you see it in real lifeĀ. To me this is by far the best color for a classic truck. Just beautiful!
- Body in gloss black.
- Grill in gloss black.
- Front bumper in chrome.
- Rear bumper in chrome
- Inside walls of truck bed protected with truck bed cover (original look).
- Dashboard painted in gloss black.
- Door panels painted in gloss black.
- Running boards painted in gloss black.
- Original metal plates/emblems on running boards.
- Beautiful brand new wooden side rail (optional, can be removed in seconds).
Engine:
- Ford Windsor V8 Engine. Fires right up and runs great.
- Engine was serviced in 2019.
- Has a great full sound and lots of power.
Carburetor:
- Carburetor was recently rebuilt by carburetor shop and works great.
- New chrome air filter.
Cooling system:
- Nice new aluminium performance radiator.
Automatic Transmission:
- C4 Transmission shifts through all gears smoothly.
- Transmission was rebuilt by transmission shop in LA about 2 years ago.
- Original gear shifter on column (nothing cut in floor!)
Exhaust:
- Dual Exhaust System with chrome ends.
- Great Sound.
Wheels
- 215/65 R15 in front.
- 265/70 R15 in rear.
- Nice original style chrome rims.
- Dropped Speedway Front Axle for classic Ford Trucks. Great look!
Interior:
- Entire Interior was beautifully professionally done in 2019 (See all photos for details). Smells like brand new leather from inside.
- New black leather bench.
- Kick Panels in black rubber material.
- Black carpet nicely done.
- Black rubber material around rear window.
- Headliner in black leather.
- New Sun Visors in black leather.
- Dash is all original in steel painted in gloss black.
- Beautiful restored original Ford steering wheel

Electric:
- Almost the entire electric system was rewired in 2019.
- New blinker switch installed.
- Headlights and high beams work.

- New chrome VF100 side emblems.

General information about this make and model:
The Ford F100 from 1953 till 1956 is the second generation of the Ford F-Series. The Ford F-Series was redesigned by Ford for 1953 with a more integrated look. The second generation seems to be the most desired body style for collectors and enthusiasts. The short bed style is the most valuable version, V8 automatic is also the most desired option (based on selling prices). It is very hard to find a restored 1955 Ford F100 in gloss black. I consider the collectors value of at least $40K (as of Feb 2019).
