Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we wrap-up our 19th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Ford's Falcon was the company's
entry into the rapidly expanding small car market during the
1960's. Although it was somewhat eclipsed by the enormous
popularity of the Mustang after 1964, the Falcon still has a large
and enthusiastic following that shows no signs of abatement. Our
clean little 1964 Falcon Sprint convertible (one of 4278) is a fine
example of the breed and clearly demonstrates why they remain in
demand. Beneath the hood rests what appears to be the ORIGINAL
Challenger 260 V8 (engine tag 4-B= Feb. 1964) with the correct
generator, valve covers, and air cleaner. This silky-smooth
powerplant hands off the horses to a factory 4-speed manual
transmission (5) which, in turn, passes it back to the rear end
equipped with 3.25 gears (4). The clean interior features good
upholstery, carpet, dash, and gauges (the correct Rotunda tach
works!). Push the button to lower the power top, crank up the
original radio with FM converter (both working!), and you're ready
to cruise. This car has tight body panels (most with easily visible
date codes), very stable handling, and so many correct details that
we believe the mileage is correct at 70,550. Finally, a nice set of
Magnum 500 wheels and a new top give the car a perfect profile. A
rare and collectible classic convertible that won't break the bank.
